Honors & Awards
The Connecticut Chapter presented the following awards at our Annual Spring Awards Dinner held at the Rocky Hill Marriott Hotel on April 18, 2008.
2007 Recruiters of the Year: SSG Marissa Siegel, CTARNG Recruiting & Retention Command and SSG James Embrey, USAR Hartford Recruiting Company with Chapter President, CSM(Ret) Robert C. Moeller.
The Connecticut Chapter received the following awards at the 2007 Annual Meeting and Exposition held at the Washington Convention Center on October 8-10, 2007
On Sunday, October 7 the chapter received the following streamers at the Chapter Presidents Dinner; Chapter of Excellence, Superior Chapter, President's Club Streamer, Continuous Membership Attainment, Star Chapter, Support To Recruiting Command. 
On Monday, October 8, the Chapter received Best Chapter in Support of the Guard and Reserve Streamer at the Guard and Reserve Breakfast.
On Wednesday, October 10 the chapter received the following streamers at the First Region and European Department Breakfast meeting. Special Awards, Family Programs, Merit Chapter, Take The Hill, Lewis & Clark, ILW Streamer, Army Birthday Celebration, Army History. Also honored was Mrs. Elaine Krauss, Executive Director, with an AUSA citation for exceptional service. Mrs. Krauss has been a member of the Connecticut Chapter's Executive Committee since 1997. She is employed by Goodrich Corporation of Danbury and resides in Danbury, Connecticut. She was presented the citation by Mr. Norman Harkins, President of AUSA's First Region.
On Wednesday, October 10, at the Army Civilian luncheon, the chapter received a streamer for the greatest percent increase in department of the Army Civilian membership. Mrs. Kimberly Hoffman, Director of Family Service for the Connecticut National Guard, and a member of the Connecticut chapter, was honored as First Region's Department of the Army Civilian of the Year. Mrs. Hoffman also received the AUSA Patriotic Service award earlier in the day at the First Region and European Department breakfast meeting.
